BDO STOY HAYWARD NAMED AS LATEST TENANT AT 3 HARDMAN STREET

Leading accountants and business advisors BDO Stoy Hayward is the latest tenant to sign up to 3 Hardman Street in Spinningfields in a deal that will see the firm move into 35,000 sq ft of the central Manchester building.

With the largest floor plates of any building outside London, 3 Hardman Street has proved to be a popular choice for the North-West's professional and financial services firms. Designed by Shepherd Robson, 3 Hardman Street totals 350,000 sq ft of Grade A office space with floor plates ranging from 10,000 sq ft to 35,000 sq ft.

Lead partner at BDO Stoy Hayward in Manchester, Jeff Jones, said: "It's an exciting time for our Manchester office.  Our move to 3 Hardman Street is a major investment and shows our commitment to our clients.  Moving forward, the new office will provide the foundations for our momentum in the North-West.

"It will provide us with a first-class, contemporary open-plan working environment which will comfortably house our team as well as giving us flexibility and the option of further expansion as the team continues to grow."

The fifteen-storey building, which has obtained an 'excellent' BREEAM rating for energy-efficiency, is the latest office building at Spinningfields - Europe's vibrant new business district. It includes four 'stepped' elements and features four separate office entrances, ground floor mezzanine and upmarket retail units.

3 Hardman Streetis on schedule for completion in Autumn 2008 and is already 70 percent let confirming Manchester's buoyant commercial property market in the face of a national downturn. The building has attracted international banks, legal and professional service firms including Barclays Bank, Bank of New York Mellon, Pinsent Masons, Regus and Baker Tilly.

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London, said: "We are, of course, delighted that BDO Stoy Hayward, a leading blue chip professional services brand, has chosen 3 Hardman St. Its selection is an endorsement of Spinningfields' position as an international financial and commercial district and of our decision to provide an exceptionally high standard of working environment and services at 3 Hardman St. This proposition is proving very attractive to prospective tenants."
