Notting Hill (15) - 26th July

26th July     Notting Hill (15) (1999)

A British romantic comedy written by Four Weddings and a Funeral writer Richard Curtis, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, with a stellar support cast. The film focuses around Hollywood starlet Anna Scott (Roberts), who chances upon humble bookshop owner William Thacker (Grant) and the ups and downs of their relationship, which they attempt to make successful despite their different lifestyles and profiles. Can a relationship between a global superstar and a normal fellow defy the odds? A predictable, light-hearted and enjoyable film – which everyone (men included) is bound to have watched on more than one occasion since it came out in 1999.
