Spinningfields Marketing & Events Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

To provide support and assistance to the Marketing Manager and Brand Experience Manager
To assist on all digital and offline marketing channels
To support and grow Spinningfields’ experiential activity and events

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MARKETING

Assist in the promotion of Spinningfields brands, news and events using our digital platforms and offline media
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to help execute an online content strategy which promotes Spinningfields brands and creates a richer experience for our consumers, utilising spinningfieldsonline.com, our email database, social media channels, digital screens, PR, and offline, printed materials
Maintain and build strong relationships with Spinningfields tenants, promoting their messages alongside those of Spinningfields as a whole

EVENTS & EXPERIENTIAL

Respond to all experiential enquiries (by phone, email) / generate leads
Assist with communications to event participants, supporters and suppliers, developing close relationships with nationwide experiential agencies
Assist with lead-in events such as promotional days, launch events and training days, including recruiting volunteers, providing displays and site set up
Assist in all pre-event preparation and provide on-the-day support as required by the team
Record and report on the success of promotional activity
Help produce key Spinningfields’ events, including pillar events like the annual Manchester Duck Race

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be educated to degree level, having achieved at least a 2:1, and hold some relevant work experience. Candidates due to graduate in 2017 will also be considered.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, able to work well as part of a small team as well as using their own initiative. The role will require excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks. A demonstrable interest in the retail and hospitality sectors is preferred, although not essential.

PACKAGE AND REMUNERATION

£18-22k base salary depending on experience
25 days annual holiday per year pro rata + public and bank holidays
Required education: Bachelor’s Degree – 2:1

The full-time role will be based at Allied London’s Manchester office. Regular working hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch, but some out of hours work may be required on occasion to support events and experiential activity.
