The monthly Makers Market returned to Spinningfields on 17th and 18th September, with the spotlight on our four-legged friends!

The Mutts and Makers Market played host to the usual award-winning local food and drink & arts and crafts stalls, but with doggy traders galore.

Guru Pet Food added to the fun, giving out free dog food samples, Hey Little Cupcake sold incredible dog-friendly pupcakes, and Smooth Radio hosted a ‘doggy lounge’ marquee.

The Garden on Leftbank played host to two screenings chosen by the public on Twitter – Walt Disney’s ‘Lady and the Tramp’ and ‘Turner & Hooch’.

Lots of Spinningfields restaurants got involved, offering dog friendly outdoor seating, with Dockyard and The Oasthouse welcoming pooches indoors.

Luisa D’Aprano, Head of Marketing at Allied London, said; “The Makers Market has become a staple event at Spinningfields, there is always a fantastic turnout and this time we wanted to do something a little bit different! We often see people with their dogs walking round the estate so we knew this event would appeal to them and be a bit of fun for everyone involved.”

The Makers Market is renowned for its events across the North West, featuring specially selected experts who source, grow, rear, bake, make and create the products they sell, which ensures unique and original goods.

With over 90 retailers, there was something for everyone. The market even featured a feline-themed stall, to make sure Manchester’s cats weren’t left out.

The Makers Market returns to Spinningfields on 15th and 16th October.
