The Oast House celebrates a landmark day for The New World Trading Company
Sunday 31st July marked a poignant moment in The Oast House’s history, as the venue hosted New World Trading’s ten thousandth gig.
The line-up featured three incredible acts: The Kick Back Sundays, Twisted Tubes, and The Rush. The ten thousandth gig was officially ushered in by The Kick Back Sundays, the band that delivered The Oast House courtyard’s first ever live performance.
Legend has it that the late Tim Bacon witnessed “the first gig” on that very spot back in 2010 – a lone busker’s impeccable rendition of Love Will Tear Us Apart.
A year later The Oast House had turned that corner of Spinningfields on its head and the New World Trading Company was born. Ever since, guests have revelled in live music at one of Manchester’s favourite outdoor spots.
