Celebrating Pride in Spinningfields
This August Bank Holiday Weekend saw the city bustling with bright colours for the annual Manchester Pride . These celebrations were bigger than ever-before at Spinningfields, with the return of a much-loved Instagram hot-spot, the Spinningfields Pride Paintbrush, a host of exciting events and a huge competition to take part in!
The iconic Pride Paintbrush splashed rainbow colours along The Avenue steps, making for the perfect picture opportunity. There were also a range of events to get involved in, from live music at The Oast House’s SpinFest to The Ivy’s fabulously flamboyant Roof-Garden lunch, which saw entertainment from carnival performers, a live DJ and dancing champagne-pourers.
There was also a Bank Holiday competition, which allowed one lucky pair to win a Bank Holiday treat like no other, featuring Chase the Rainbow cocktails and a two-course meal at The Alchemist, plus a beautiful bouquet of flowers from David Wayman, two Spinningfields vouchers, in addition to vouchers for The Blowout, worth £35 each, and rainbow-themed sweet treats from Hey Little Cupcake!
