Women from across the local business community came together at Artisan on Wednesday 28th September to celebrate the culmination of Spinningfields’ Summer of Sport.
The event was hosted by Smooth Radio’s Jo Lloyd, with Sky Sports News presenter Hayley McQueen providing an insight into the fast-paced world of sports journalism and her encounters with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo during her time at Manchester United.
McQueen said: “What a lovely way to spend an afternoon in the perfect relaxed surrounding of Artisan in Spinningfields. It was a great way for those attending to network amongst such an inspirational group of women.
“They were able to relax and enjoy themselves whilst learning about each other, their respective businesses and neighbouring charity Wood Street Mission. The event was really well arranged and it was honour to have been asked along to talk.”
The event raised £535 for Wood Street Mission, the incredible local charity that helps alleviate the effects of poverty on families across Greater Manchester and Salford. The charity auction featured fantastic donations from The Spa at The Midland, a bespoke gown from Tallulah Tennant, a month’s personal training at The Physio Lounge, and a jewellery cleaning service from Phillip Stoner.
Goody bags included gifts from Kiehl’s, La Prairie, Comptoir Libanais, Carluccio’s, and Nicky Clarke, and two lucky ladies left with a Kiehl’s goody bag and Beauty Tonic gift voucher.
The attendees were also treated to signature mini cupcakes from Spinningfields’ very own Hey Little Cupcake, and personalised mini Christmas trees from The Oast House.
