On your marks. Get set. GO!

Spinningfields Sports Day returned bigger and better than ever for 2022. Spirits were high and competition was fierce as over 20 teams took part to raise more than £1,500 from ticket sales for Real Change MCR, which helps people experiencing homelessness pay for practical items that they need to build lives away from the streets.

Exclusively for Spinningfields’ business community to take part in, teams were encouraged to swap suits for sweatbands and briefcases for batons, with spectators invited to watch the action trackside.

A community event from start to finish, high-octane warm-ups were led by PureGym and Ultimate Performance, refreshments were provided by FoodWell and Hey Little Cupcake and an emphasis was placed on zero-waste and sustainability with fully-recyclable timber medals handed out to all participants.

From the infamous egg and spoon race, 3-legged sprint and beanbag on the head runs to an obstacle course and crab race that concluded with a whopping 16x lap 50m relay, it was fantastic to see over 200 people take part in a variety of fun-filled activities across the day.
