Spinningfields Sports Day returns bigger and better for 2023 with this year’s event scheduled for Friday 4 August. Expect spirits to be high and competition to be fierce as teams take part for the chance to be crowned Spinningfields Sports Day champion.

Exclusively for Spinningfields’ business community to take part in, teams will be encouraged to swap suits for sweatbands and briefcases for batons, with spectators invited to watch the action trackside.

All ticket profits will be donated to Real Change MCR, which helps people experiencing homelessness pay for practical items that they need to build lives away from the streets.

A community event from start to finish, high-octane warm-ups will precede the event and refreshments will be provided. There will be 3 sessions throughout the day for teams to choose between: 10am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm and 3pm – 5pm.

An emphasis will also be placed on zero-waste and sustainability reusing all event infrastructure and fully-recyclable timber medals will be handed out to all participants.

From the infamous egg and spoon race, 3-legged sprint and beanbag on the head runs to an obstacle course, a crab race and a whopping 16x lap 50m relay, a variety of fun-filled activities will occur across the day.

We’re already counting down the days until event day!
